Natural Patrimony

In this paragraph, we profit by the partnership of the Environment Initiative Permanent Centre (CPIE) of the Forest of Broceliande.

The Pays de Ploermel - Cœur de Bretagne provides a natural environment in connection with the settlement and activities of inhabitants, which have been existing for centuries. It is proud of its rural landscapes shaped by mankind, made of various areas with specific assets, still keeping a major place for hedged farmlands.

You may find wonderful natural sites all over the region: Two major forest lands, which are the remnants of the old forest of Broceliande, heath landscapes (“Val sans retour, Landes de Monteneuf”…); humid areas with specific assets are also part of the community (Tourbière de Kerfontaine).
__ The Pays de Ploermel is also a water area accounting__ with the “Lake of the Duke”, and the Canal of Nantes to Brest. It also includes many valleys, lakes and rivers.
